Removable and fixed dentures
How are false teeth like stars?
Both only come out at night.
Removable Complete Dentures
Complete dentures are used to replace all missing teeth in the top and/or bottom arch(es). They are practical and a more affordable solution to restore looks and minimal chewing function. The fabrication process usually takes multiple visits over months in order to create a well-fitted denture.
Removable Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are used to replace some missing teeth. Unlike a complete denture, which is usually made entirely out of acrylic, a partial denture can be made of pure acrylic or a combination of acrylic and cast metal. The type of material used often depends on the purpose of the denture and how long it’s meant to be used.
Implant-supported Dentures
Implant-supported dentures are complete dentures or partial dentures that are enhanced with implants. They can be removable or fixed. Implant-supported dentures usually have superior retention compared to dentures not supported by implants. When the denture is fixed by implants, it is not required to be taken out at night.
